The original LOVELIGHT was not the famous song written by Joe Scott, performed by Bobby Bland, then Van Morrison, and later, the Grateful Dead.
The original LOVELIGHT was DIVINE! Performed by The Great Spirit and still performed today. Broadcast to all beings in all the universes, 24 / 7! David opens himself to the LOVELIGHT by meditating, doing tai chi, playing drums, and especially by doing the art he loves most; SCULPTURE!
David’s search for truth and harmony results in expressions in wood, bronze, clay, gems, and minerals. He creates sculptures that are intended to set sacred space for nurturing and healing. David believes his soul is on the planet to find the balance of love and relationships. He shows this in his work by setting up harmonious balance of standing physical forms. He makes good use of the space between the forms. The negative space is, often, where he shares his discoveries. He uses light and shadow to express alternate views of awareness and consciousness. David loves to help people learn to see beyond the physical. “If we focus awareness on the light, then the shadows become obvious. When you focus on the light, you are accessing LOVELIGHT from our Creator.”
Vision for the future: I shall work towards the awakening of humankind. We must work together to be free of those philosophies that keep us separated and at war. Political and religious concepts of superiority, exclusivity, and nationalism must be surrendered into a federation of global government with equal representation. Religious leaders should preach about the bottom line: LOVE! Diversity is great, however superiority mindsets must end if we are to survive as a species on the planet. Management of the planet’s resources is crucial to the survival of all species. THIS I BELIEVE, Autumn, 2012
